Festival information

We are a little festival nicely tucked away in the mid Wales valleys, where the grass is green, the stars are bright, the sun always shines (ahem) with all the village amenities you could ever need….without a tesco!

If you like all things circusy, having fun with a friendly community of individuals, learning new skills and making new friends while dancing to music and watching the finest shows then you should definitely come along.

There is a reason we keep coming back to the Workhouse and it’s how lovely the site is, it’s a beautiful mix of leafy areas, open glades, courtyards, indoor spaces and camping fields.

First aider signCamping is free with your Play ticket. There is a charge of £5 if you bring a car – this is payable when you arrive.

Campervans, trailertents and caravans are also welcome but will be kept separate from tents for licensing reasons. You don’t need to purchase a special ticket but will need to pay the car charge of £5 when you arrive on site.

If you want to stay in comfort you can stay in the Workhouse bunkhouse. It’s near the main tent, has it’s own own toilet and lounge, costs £10 per person per night and if you stay there they offer a cooked breakfast for £3 instead of £5.

To book a bunkhouse spot email the Workhouse directly:  info@llanfyllinworkhouse.org for all your comfy-bedded duvet-tastic needs.

There are plenty of toilets around the building – this means we don’t have to use chemical toilets, which we think is a great thing. There are also now new showers on site.

The workhouse has it’s own cafe and bar, and we normally have another food vendor on site. Of course spinning@ will be providing their usual mix of music, drink and good times.

The village of Llanfyllin is close by (around a 10 -15 minute walk). In the village you can find plenty of shops to cater for your needs.

We have a first aider on site for the duration of the festival – we hope you don’t need it, but please do remember to take care of yourself!

The kids

With so many families enjoying their time at PLAY Festival, we’ve made sure there is lots to entertain the little ones.

A small adventure area has been created with a scramble net, rope bridge and a wooden tree house.

Sorry, we aren’t able to accommodate pets on site during the festival.
