Food and Drink update for PLaY 2017

Food and Drink update for PLaY 2017

With around 170 workshops this year we know our festival go-ers will be working up a bit of an appetite! Our onsite bar will be run by Hobsons Brewery who couldn’t be much more local to the site. They’ll have a range of beers, wine and cider including our special PLaY FestivAle! This year we will have – of course – the Love Waffles van to keep you going with a selection of sweet and savoury waffles. We’ll also have back this year the Magical Tea Chest and – having listened to your feedback from last year’s festival – we’ve got another food vendor, offering a range of Malaysian street food: with Keuy teow – stir fried Malaysian rice noodles (gluten free), Malaysian Dahl and roti chani (Malaysian flat bread pancake) and Nasi goreng – Malaysian fried rice. Their meals can be made with or without meat and/or vegan as required

The Magical Tea Chest is proud of its ethics. Where possible they use local suppliers for the majority of our food. They bank ethically and waste bread, cakes and veg goes to local homeless charities and shelters. In their words, from them you can expect:

a decent cuppa tea & decaf
fresh filter coffee & decaf
selection of fruity and herbal teas
freshly made chai tea
hot chocolate
magical hot chocolate
hot spiced apple
selection of cold drinks
cookies and some cakes

breakfast with bacon, sausages, hash browns and vegie sausages
prime beef gourmet burgers with a secondary flavor option
vegie bean burger
fresh vegie dish with change each day when possible and will vary between
mild bean chilli with a nacho crumb served with a slab of bread
Moroccan tagine served with a slab of bread.

Really look forward to seeing you next week!
