Festival Information

If we’ve missed anything out then please do get in touch using the email button on the top right menu

Gates will open at noon on Tuesday for those who purchase an additional Tuesday camping ticket. This only allows access to the camping areas, not to the festival site.
Please read the information here about public transport to Hopton Court.
No refunds are available if you are unable to attend, but we allow posts regarding selling tickets on our facebook group and in the facebook event. Tickets can be transferred to another person. Once you've agreed who they should be transferred to the original purchaser should email tickets@play-festival.co.uk with details of the original purchase (including the email address and name on the tickets and the order number) and the name and email address of the new purchaser. New tickets will then be issued which will need to be shown at the gate.
Almost always the answer is no, virtually all our workshops are included in the ticket price! Very rarely there may be a small additional charge for specific art / crafting workshops for materials but apart from that you can go to as many workshops as you want once you're here for no extra cost. Be warned though that space on some workshops might be limited, so it's worth keeping an eye on the timetables once they're published and making sure you're there early.

We have plenty of space available and live-in vehicles are welcomed. Please purchase a parking or live-in vehicle ticket from our ticket shop.
It wouldn't be PLaY without our hard working and committed volunteer team and we have a number of volunteer roles available. Please bear in mind that we ask volunteers to purchase a ticket first, and a refund will be made once you’ve completed your allocated shifts at the festival. The amount of refund depends on the number of hours you complete, what shifts you do and what aspect you support.  To volunteer please complete the form here.
Whatever your skill level you'll be welcome to PLaY and are sure that you will find it a supportive and hugely knowledgeable community to build your skills and inspire you. We run workshops for all levels and have a fully equipped beginners area with volunteers around to help you get started.
We do not sell day or weekend tickets and encourage our PLaY community to stay on site for as much of the five days as they can to fully enjoy the festival. The Tuesday ticket for camping is only available for those who purchase festival tickets and no access to the main festival site will be available until the Wednesday.
Subject to availability tickets are available on the gate at a cost of £110 for an adult ticket, £75 for a teen and £30 for children between 6 and 11. Ticket prices for young children, dogs and the car parking costs remain the same We would encourage you to buy your PLaY ticket in advance where possible, this helps avoid queues at the gate and avoid disappointment.
We have qualified first aiders on duty 24 hours a day throughout the festival. If you need medical attention please come to the first aid point or ask a crew member to radio for assistance. Our friendly professional SIA badged security staff will also be on site. Please do ask if you need any assistance whilst they are on their patrols or again ask a crew member to radio if you need to speak to them.  Our security personnel may use their discretion to search attendees if appropriate.
PLaY will endeavor, as far as it is practicable to do so, to provide a safe environment at the Festival. However responsibility for the wellbeing and safety of all children under the age of 16 remains with their parents or guardians at all times. If you see a child unattended or have any concerns then please contact either our security team or a crew member as soon as possible.
Well behaved dogs are welcome at PLaY, and dog tickets can be bought via the shop. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times on the festival site. Please ensure that you bring appropriate equipment for your dog such as poop bags and a water bowl. Dogs are not allowed inside the covered spaces in the main festival area. Dogs should not cause a nuisance to other festival goers or cause disturbance. We are based in the countryside and ask that you control your dog so that it does not scare or disturb farm animals or wildlife; you are responsible for your dog and its behaviour. Please clear up any dog mess immediately. If you have a guide dog or other assistance dog please contact us with details of your ADUK ID card (or similar) in order that we can discuss any requirements. PLaY reserves the right to ask for dogs to be removed from the festival site at any time at the discretion of the festival organisers, site owner or security staff.
Caterers will be on site in the form of the Magical Tea Chest with their range of drinks, vegetarian food (or ethical meaty meals) & freshly baked cakes. We will also have Love Waffles with both sweet and savoury waffles. There are no shops within easy walking distance however Cleobury Mortimer is 2 1/2 miles away and has a number of shops  and food outlets.
We will have a bar from Hobsons Brewery - a local sustainable brewery based just 3 miles from the festival site. As well as their selection of award winning beers they have a variety of other options including wine, spirits and soft drinks available.
Please remember that the UK laws still apply on site and neither PLaY nor our site owners condone the use of illegal drugs. Please be aware that if you bring drugs to PLaY you risk having any substances confiscated and being removed from site. If you feel you’d like someone to talk to we have trained welfare staff on site, including qualified counsellors. If you would like to talk to someone, or have concerns about someone’s safety please just ask a member of crew to put you in touch.
